Application of Stembiont® Vital

Stembiont® Vital contains live bacteria and is primarily produced to order. To ensure reliable delivery, we operate with a four-week lead time from order placement, although we can usually deliver on shorter notice.
Stembiont® Vital contains live bacteria, and each batch has a shelf life of up to 12 weeks. Please refer to the expiry date on the label.
Stembiont® Vital should be stored at low temperatures, between 2°C and -15°C until use. Fine table salt is supplied together with Stembiont® Vital.
- Invert the bottle of Stembiont® Vital until all sediment is fully dissolved.
- Fill the anaesthesia tank to at least half capacity.
- Dissolve the salt in one or two buckets of water and add this to the anaesthesia tank. Salt is added because the bacteria in Stembiont® Vital require salinity; a minimum concentration of 1% must be achieved. It is therefore essential that the salt is added before Stembiont® Vital.
- Add Stembiont® Vital and then fill the rest of the anaesthesia tank with water.
- Ensure that the fish remain in the anaesthesia bath for at least 45 seconds to allow proper uptake. The recommended treatment time is 45–90 seconds.
- Use an opened bottle of Stembiont® Vital within 24 hours.
- At the end of the day, thoroughly rinse the anaesthesia tank with fresh water.
